and worries parents across the country,
is attracting the kind of attention young women are not ready for.
All of a sudden,
short hair, short dresses,
and partying all night while smoking and drinking
has become the new “bee’s knees” for young people.
Now, for you parents out there who don’t know what “bee’s knees” means,
it basically means
that your kids think something is so amazing
that they have to do it to look cool.
Back in the day when I was a kid,
all you had to do to look cool was get a bike
and wear a nice dress to school.
How times have changed.

i was taking a moonlit walk,
and I saw this girl climb down a ladder from her bedroom window
with a cigarette in her mouth and a short frilly dress on.
Now, how she was able to climb in that dress,
I have absolutely no idea
Anyways, she gets in a car
when a young man lights her cigarette
and drives away with her.
At the same time, the parents are sitting in the living room
reading newspapers and listening to the radio
with no idea where she is going
or what she is doing
This is the kind of behaviour
that is settling into young children in the country;
Young children that are the next generation of
doctors, nurses, bank-tellers...
We need to do something
Now, my advise to you parents out there
is that to put your foot down
maybe smack her around a bit
you know knock some sense into her
and hope for a better future
And for you flappers out there
my advice to you is that
if you can’t wear longer skirts
at least...
put some pants on!
